The SMC Electrical Division is a significant part of our contract services and has been a cornerstone in service to our clients. All our electricians are licensed by the State of Maine and work under a “Code of Excellence” program to provide top quality electrical installations for a wide variety of clientele. The expertise in this area covers industrial construction needs from power wiring and motor controls to calibration of both electric and pneumatic instrumentation. This division has also seen immense growth in renewable energy investments in Maine, providing the next generation of new possibilities within these markets.
Alongside our continued foothold in the industrial and commercial electrical market in Maine, we look to future growth in power generation and distribution projects, with new opportunities in expanding our reach deeper into New England in switchyard and high energy substation upgrades with our existing clientele.
SMC’s Electrical Services Include:
Power wiring and motor controls
SMC performs all types of power wiring and controls for industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, shipyards and commercial buildings.
Substation and transformer work
SMC has the equipment and experience to perform transformer replacements and new installations, large or small.
Instrumentation
SMC installs and calibrates both electronic and pneumatic instrumentation. SMC also has experienced craftspeople who install and test fiber optic systems
High voltage work
SMC has a strong background in high voltage work up to 115 kilovolts
