The credentials of the safety compliance staff include development and implementation of the Labor, Education, and Development (L.E.A.D.) of Maine safety training outreach program for the Maine Building Trades, a certified Safety and Health Technician (CHST), two OSHA authorized instructors, two supervisory level licensed personnel in lead abatement, a licensed journeyman electrician, two certified CPR instructors, two certified pulmonary function spirometer technicians, a former EMT and numerous employees having first aid, CPR, SCBA, hilti and forklift certifications. The combined experience of our team extends 35 years of industrial safety and 60 years of pulp and paper and general construction safety compliance and loss control. Our safety compliance expertise encompasses loss control for projects involving all aspects of pulp and paper facilities, liquid and solid waste treatment facilities, marine terminal, tank farms, municipal and federal airport facilities, dams and projects covered by the Process Safety Management standard for hazardous substances. Our safety staff is versed in the OSHA Construction (1926) and General Industry (1910) Standards and have federal OSHA trainer authorization in these regulations. The authorization includes the permission to train personnel in the latest lead, confined space entry, respiratory and process safety management standards. As part of the equipment safety aspect of the process, we have qualified personnel to perform in-house load testing for our rigging equipment, oxy-acetylene gauge calibration, and gas monitoring equipment calibration. We have at our disposal, a multi-port high capacity ventilation unit, ten high volume ventilation units, eight multi-gas monitors, a draw tube sampler, seven SCBAs, two confined space retrieval systems and three air quality testing pumps and a spirometer.
